Is there any way that the Ratings stars (under the "Detail" tab) can
be switched off i.e. not shown at all in the bubble?

I'm not exactly sure I am understanding your question. The ratings shouldn't display unless there is a rating to display.

Many thanks for your reply.
To clarify my question:
When you first set up a marker and do NOT set any star rating then I
agree that the rating stars are not displayed in the marker on the
map.
However, what I did when I was initially setting up my markers was to
set some of the star ratings.
What I then found was that when you try to click the star ratings off
(by hovering over the stars and clicking), you can switch off all the
stars except the first one - which means that I could not switch off
the rating in the displayed marker. Hence, I was interested if there
was a paremeter/setting to switch off the ratings
This is not a big deal as I can easily set up my markers again and
ensure that I don't set any star ratings when I do so.

Gotcha. Yes, this is a usability issue on our side. I'll look into it,
but probably will not be able to get it fixed for a little while. In
the meantime I'm afraid you'll have to recreate the marker. Sorry
about the inconvenience.

Gotcha. Yes, this is a usability issue on our side. I'll look into it,
