Hello All
So far Community of Reason has not proven to be an activist organization. However many members have proven activist credentials. That alone might be reason enough to support CoR. Nothing I say here should be interpreted to dissuade activism. I encourage it!
The voices of CoR members are valued or at least of interest in the greater community. How have so many come to have a point of view that is so different from that of the mainstream in some ways? New ideas, solutions and methods may come from such a hot bed of nonconformity.

Dear Members,

I believe in democracy. A group should do what the majority want it to
do and the group should have elected leaders who help achieve the
majority's wishes. I urge everyone to attend the membership meeting. The
group does not run itself. It takes a fair amount of work from volunteer
workers who mostly have a lot of other demands on their time outside the

Fred Whitehead's father recently died. There will be a Memorial Service
for him Monday, April 14. The obituary appeared in the KC Star yesterday
(April 6, 2008). I did not see the obituary and I do not have the
