Carine Ronsmans et al. research the relationship between skilled birth attendance and maternal and perinatal mortality in Bangladesh .
Carlos Augusto Monteiro et al. find that socioeconomic improvements have reduced child stunting in Brazil.
Steven Allender et al. examine the link between urban lifestyles and noncommunicable diseases in India.
Mark Hatherill et al. examine the performance of different screening methods for childhood tuberculosis in South Africa. Also in the same country, Stephanie Burrows et al. study differences in fatal injury patterns among children in urban areas.
Nguyen Binh Hoa et al. find a higher prevalence relative to previous estimates, of tuberculosis in Viet Nam when using a population-based survey.
Ana-Claire Meyer et al. find that up to 75% of people with epilepsy in low-income countries may be missing out on treatment.
Anand A Date et al. measure progress in preventing secondary infections in people with HIV infection.
