Dear friends,

Although it is mighty cold outside, the Huntington Community Gardens is
planing out our gardening efforts for the year, and we need you!

If you are interested in volunteering this year, please let us know.

Email us at communitygardensh...@gmail.com with your name, address, phone
number, and a general idea of when you might be available. This will help
us to plan out what needs to be done based on the possible number of
volunteers who might be able to help that day. Weeding takes one person at
minimum, but installing fences takes a few people.

Starting the first weekend in March, the HCG welcomes you to join us as we
get our hands dirty to help bring Food and Flower to neighborhoods across
Huntington. This is our fourth year and we've more gardens to plant. Garden
efforts mostly occur on the weekend, but some maintenance must be done
throughout the week to keep the plants watered and weeded, so those people
available Mon-Fri can definitely lend a hand. If you are better with power
tools that flowers, or if you are a garden novice interested in learning
more, your help could still make a big difference.Any assistance would be
greatly appreciated.

Bring yourself, some good garden tools and gloves, or any donations to the
Barnett Center at 1524 10th Ave.
