Search this thread and you will get answers.

I have an RFX9600 and have made some attempts of controlling this with iViewer. The protocol is not open so it will require a fair amount of work for each code to be sent. People have used Wireshark and Protonic to find out the actual codes that are sent.

I used Wireshark and can now control the relays with iViewer. I have posted how to do that in this group. Another user have described how to manage ir and serial as well. The problem is that each individual command need to be checked and hardcoded in the gui. So in the end, how much do you value your time?

I'm now using Command Fusion(CF) hardware in parallel with the Pronto gear. I will phase out the use of the RFX unit, the CF has an open protocol and can therefore be controlled by the Pronto remote just as easy as with iViewer.

I did a lot of development work on the Pronto PRO's and still use them as my Mobile devices around the house as I like the tactile feel of real buttons. I never bought an RFXxxx because of the closed protocol and had interesting discussions with the Belgium team as to why they choose to go that way (They didn't, the suits did). I suggest you will be better off in the long run writing code for a Global Cache device to handle your "Glue" needs.

I run a GC-100 using a set of iViewer drivers I developed that work in a manner similar to the RFX for IR.  The code understands that the GC 100 (unlike the iTach) can maintain only one connection at a time and I take care of that in the code as I do use multiple iPads around the house.  The code is all in Javascript so please don't ask for it if you cannot deal with Javascript. I also handle serial but have not played with the relays as I use a different solution for that, nor have I played with the sensors, but I do not see an issue other than with the sensor since I do not maintain a connection I would need to poll them which I do not like to do.
