Hi,

CometD 2.6.0 has been released.

There are few little changes from 2.6.0-RC1, mainly related to
robustness, such as using try/catch in javascript to access native
object fields, and documentation updates.

CometD 2.6.0 is based on Dojo 1.8.3, on jQuery 1.9.1, on Jetty 7.6.10.

If the browser support websocket, how to maket cometd support websocket
transport running on Tomcat 7 ?
can you please detail the steps? I believe many users have the same
question with me.

As title says, my question how to enable web-socket transport on tomcat 7
with cometd?
I configured my cometd application as

it always use long-polling, not websocket.
or it can't use websocket transport on tomcat with tomcat for now, just ok

Hi,

CometD 2.6.0-RC1 has been released.

The most important fix relates to a couple of race conditions that may
have led to permanent disconnections after a network failure.
These cases were rare, yet reported by busy CometD servers.
