Hi all,

I'm very interested in this cometd project. i would like to contribute
to the community. Let me know if anyone have any plans to start this
port to IIS7 and .NET 2.0. If you know anyone have already started
this project, please let me know so that i can join them.

Thanks,
Ravi

Ravi,

a IIS / .NET server would be a very welcome addition to the project
and to my knowledge nobody else has started.

So if you want to start on this, then keep the list informed of
what you are doing and hopefully others will join you and help out.

Once there is some code and progress, then we can consider how
to bring that into the project with regard to licenses, CLAs,
svn etc. etc.

cheers

Hi,

I'm very new to this project. In order to take a deeper look at it I have to
read docs on the architecture. If anyone of you could give me any
url/docs/pdf then it would be really helpful.

Thanks,
Ravi

Hi Ravi,
Here's a good place to start: http://cometd.com/

In particular, take a look at the Bayeux protocol spec.

This code contains the Bayeux 1.01 spec in it's completion, in a JSON format that I used in my cometd-twisted rewrite, along with JSON dictionary error codes I use. This may serve you well, since it can be pulled into just about any programming language.

Hopefully this will become part of the release code soon. It is working well, and I think is just awaiting a formal review by Alex. All of the Python and JSON code is attached. You'll find the Bayeux 1.01 files in the /bayeux subdir.

There are some nice manual tests written in httplib and CherryPy, which can be used against any Bayeux 1.0.1 compliant CometD server, under /Tsung_testing. The main test is CPMain.py, which provides thre URLs for testing.

Guys,

Thanks a ton.

I'll start this weekend looking at it.

I have self-documented it as I wrote it, but if you need additional doc/assistance, let me know.
It definitely needs some overview/READMEs.
