Hi all,

I've been using an NI-6602 for quadrature encoder readout since four years or so. This week, I tried to program another counter on the same board to do simple event counting, according to the example in the comedilib demo directory.

For some reason, I cannot set the counter to other numbers than 0 (using comedi_data_write) and reading the counter (comedi_data_read) gives me no other numbers than 0, no matter how many pulses I feed into the counter.
There's another thread, related to this topic, by Kylar, but this does not supply an answer to the problem.

So my question is: Does anyone  have a working ni_660x, with simple event counting functioning the way it should? If so, could you share the settings of the flags needed to configure that counter properly?

TIA,

Marcel

Hi,

take a look at Counter set-up topic http://groups.google.com/group/comedi_list/browse_thread/thread/589dbb31619847ac/81a7fa708d0f45e1?lnk=gst&q=counter#81a7fa708d0f45e1
If you take a look to the links I posted you find the defines with comments which to use for 660x

regards

Finn
