Subject: CED1401 driver

Recently, I received a driver for the CED 1401 device under the GPL v2
license from Cambridge Electronic devices.
http://ced.co.uk/pru.shtml. The code came with a notice that it is
"unsupported", I understand that we should not pester them with questions.

I did some minor clean-up and make them available from here:
http://pub.ist.ac.at/~schloegl/src/ced1401/
   git clone http://pub.ist.ac.at/~schloegl/src/ced1401/.git

Do you think that support for this device can be integrated into comedi ?
How much of an effort would it be to include it into comedi ?

Alois

That's a really interesting development. This kind of high-performance
multifunction card is quite difficult to find - the comedi-supported
multifunction NI cards are being discontinued.

Are the drivers based on comedi ?

(I don't really have the ability to do any coding...)

No, they are not. The question is whether anyone is willing and able to
make it work with comedi.
