Hey Bros and Broettes,

My cronies and I have spoken about how we think that enforcing time
limits on presentations might be a good idea.

Also, I think it would be sweet to have two or three strictly-enforced
lightning talks @ 5 mins a-piece before the two-ish bigger talks
commence.

Anybody have thoughts on these thingz?

I think this is a great idea - anyone else?

I can think of 3 topics I could easily do a quick talk on, but which are either too much work or too off-topic to occupy a full 60 or 90 minute talk.  I'm guessing others might also?

I added Jim's Johnson talk and a few short ones I could present to this page:

Please add any you are willing to present.

Sounds great to me (oh sorry, ahem; "+1")
This could be great to keep everyone up to date on the latest and
greatest changes in edge Rails!

I'll get it right out of the gate: +1

I think this is an awesome idea. It gives other group members a
chance to participate who may for one reason or another be unable to
come up with a 60 minute presentation. I might even try this with
CleRB (the Cleveland Ruby Brigade).

That does sound like a great idea.  I'm all for more topics since it seems that meeting on a weekly basis would barely let us keep up with all of the cool stuff coming out of the Ruby/Rails/Web communities.
