A reflection

I just read something about the latest vitriol coming from Ann Coulter against Obama. It made me reflect on the two visioning meetings at Columbine that I attended. The "against teachers and Columbine as a vision" people use that same angry, outraged, self-righteous stance that Coulter uses. Their behavior and words convey: "I am above you and I am angry that you are not letting me control everything and everyone." They demonstrate that they believe pro-Columbine parents, Latino parents, teachers and allies are marginalized with good reason in society and that that should remain the same at Columbine. I'd just like to say thank you to ALL the members of the visioning
committee for all of the time and hard work you've put into trying to
strengthen our school, and our community. I hope that everyone,
regardless of their positions on the various issues, appreciates your
efforts.
