A buddy of mine on the FreeCAD project has been incorporating the lux render engine. It's very early but I was playing with it today:

Hot off the printer:
It is 10cm across and 5mm thick. It was printed with translucent green PLA and took about an hour and a half to finish.
The stl and skp files are available to download here.
