My departure

Hi Gadgeteers,

I'm writing a quick note to let you all know that I've paid my final CGW dues. 

I have accepted a new job in Boston and will be moving out there in mid-May. My new job is as a higher education sustainability consultant in New England. Basically, I'll help colleges and universities to be more environmentally sustainable. It's a dream job and I'm super excited about it.

I'm sorry that I won't be able to continue to support CGW in these key early stages of the development of the space, but you all have some strong momentum going and I don't think that will stop anytime soon. I don't know if I'll get a chance to stop by again before I leave, but if I don't get to see you all again then I'd like to thank you for all the fun geeky things I got to see and learn about as a part of this group (I say 'see and learn about' because there was very little doing on my part, mostly just gawking at other people's projects). If you're ever out in Boston hit me up and we'll be nerds together.

Hi Ben,

Congratulations on your new job! I have a friend in Boston you might want to to meet. I know Scott Janousek (http://www.scottjanousek.com/) through the Adobe Community. He makes some really amazing things. Check out his projects. He's also involved in a group there that you might like called Artisan Asylum http://artisansasylum.com/.

I have another friend from Boston who will be coming to Columbia for our MU Adobe Camp on April 19 http://doit.missouri.edu/training/adobefriday.html. Chris Georgenes is the Director of Mobile Creative at the Game Show Network. He's an animator, so there's a little different emphasis. But you could still come and meet him and talk a little Boston. :)
