Okay, so Bill has sent me what look to be the final details about the Show-Me Robots exhibit. You can read his message below.

In the G+ Hangout, we decided that meeting in Columbia would be the best way to get all of our crap straightened out. We need to get to the fairgrounds early to unload, but I hate waking up at unreasonable hours; so, we will be meeting in the Harbor Freight Tools parking lot Sunday at 7:30 am and leaving for Sedalia by 8:00 am. It will be at this meeting that I hand out everyone's tickets and we compile our stuff into Ryan's van and possibly Scott's car (since he's bringing so much). If you cannot make this meeting time and you plan on helping with the exhibit, PLEASE contact me to arrange another way to get your ticket(s). Otherwise, your ticket will end up inside the gates with me.

Once we leave Columbia, we will hopefully make it to the fairgrounds by 9:15 am. As noted below, those of us unloading will be going through Gate 6 to unload at the Assembly Hall. Everyone else can head through Gate 5, park in the public lot, and meet us at the Assembly Hall.

As for schedules of working the exhibit and see the fair, I plan on spending pretty much all day at the booth. So we shouldn't have to worry about our table ending up unmanned. Any other rotations or schedules can be worked out the day of.

This should be fun. I'm looking forward to it. Let me know if I missed anything or if there are any questions.

Greetings!!

Thank you for exhibiting at Show-Me Robots at the Missouri State Fair on Monday, August 12 and/or 13.  Hopefully, you all have your admission tickets and unloading/parking instructions.  A temporary unloading pass is a little different than previous years and a little different from what I've been telling folk, but it is very workable and probably an improvement.

Attached are two maps to the State Fair grounds. And a link to a Google map with the route from I-70 and fairground points marked.

Unloading - Enter on the west side of the fairgrounds at Gate 6 to unload at the Assembly Hall.  Request a temporary unloading pass at the gate.   Enter Red Lot C to Unload.   There is a large overhead garage on the southwest corner of the Assembly Hall.

Parking-   Parking is free at the fair lots but the lot immediately adjacent to the Assembly Hall (Red Lot C) is reserved.   The closest public lots are across from Gate 9 or through Gate 5.  Make sure you have your hand stamped when you leave to park your car after unloading and also when you retrieve your car to reload at the end of the day.

All exhibit spaces will be within 10-15 ft of a power outlet.  I will have a few extension cords but recommend that exhibitors bring their own.

We will have wireless internet.  My recollection of last year is that we had pretty good connectivity.  Previous years it was spotty or non-existent.  It is probably not wise to be too dependent on internet.

Our schedule for both days:
8am - Doors open for exhibitors for set-up
10am - Doors open for the public
5pm -  Doors closes to public and exhibitors load-out.
If you are exhibiting both days, we will start rearranging the exhibit space and setting up the fields at 5pm on Sunday for the competition day on Monday.

If you have questions please email or call.  My cell number is 573-289-3870.

Please forward this information to all others in your group as needed.  See you in a few days.
