Race Day!

Hey everyone!

Race day is THIS Saturday!

Come check out the maiden voyage of HMS Dragon One as CGW prepares to launch our naval fleet in our first step towards our goal of world domination!

We'll be meeting up at the hacker space at 8:00am to get the boat loaded up and head out to Bass Pro Shop for the race.

Registration for the race starts at 9:00am and runs till 10:30am; judging starts at 11:00am, and racing starts at noon!

We'll see you all there!

Sorry you'll miss the entrance.  

It should be fun. I am not sure how late the event will go, but I was thinking maybe we could end up back at the

lair for a few beers, and maybe even grill something out front?? Anyone interested?

Kind of a celebration after our first big project in the lair.

I hope someone will be there taking lots of photos and video. That way I can feel like I am part of the action.

A celebration post-race sounds good to me. I think the soccer games will wind up around noon. Somebody send out times, etc.

I think I might run by the shop on the way home tonight. I want to see Dragon One before it sinks to the bottom of Bass Pro Lake. ;-)

If someone wants to do a Google hangout from their phone we could. Otherwise I don't know how we would do it.

Does someone with more artistic ability than myself want to put together a flyer of some sort with the group info so we can hand a few out at the race?

I threw this together, but if somebody can make one that looks better (wouldn't be hard) go for it. If not, I can print off some of these so we've got something to have at the race.
