I've tested all concerned things using the latest version 1.34.05.

1. "Transparent" status of a line surrounding a chart is not saved
with the file, whereas other attributes such as its pattern are. (This
is altered by selecting a chart, then choosing style > line from the
menus and ticking the transparent tickbox).

2. I believe the legend is drawn wrongly for bar charts where each
category has a different colour (this might affect other chart types
too). I've attached a file monthly-example.fwk as the best way to show
this. The sample data I've used to illustrate it could for example be
monthly turnover for a shop, for each year. The 3 charts embedded are
all taken from the same source data range. The chart at the top is 3D
and is correct. The chart on bottom right is 2D drawn as "each series
has a different colour" ie the first type of bar chart, and again it
is correct. The chart on the bottom left is 2D drawn as "each category
has a different colour" ie the second type of bar chart, however here
the legend is incorrect; instead of showing 2 colours marked 2010 and
2011, it should show 12 colours marked J,F,M,A,M etc.

3. I don't think there is a way to tell what areas of the worksheet a
chart pertains too - ie the source data. It is possible to have
non-contigious areas eg non-adjacent columns. When selecting a chart,
perhaps the the data area from which it is drawn could be shown marked
or shaded somehow. Or even just listed textually like "a3:b6"

4. if a cell contents won't fit in the displayed size, the user can't
tell if any text has been lost ("overspilt"). Perhaps there could be
an indication if this has occurred. Ovation Pro draws a little arrow
icon in the bottom right of frames, as one idea.

5. would be nice to have a formatting option to write at 90 degrees
rotation text direction within a cell. This would typically make nicer
presentation of column headings, when horizontal space is at a
premium.

Best regards
