to Color That Site!
Hi.
I have CTS! 0.14 here.
First a little bug I found. When we opt to show the colour values,
although the value box goes from -100 to 100, it can only show one
digit. Two or three digits are hidden (even making the side-bar wider
doesn't help).
http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/snapshot1111.php

The feature request is (in case it isn't too much overhead) if we
could select some external colour and apply it (like with a colour
picker). Currently, unless I'm missing something, we have to try to
adjust the sliders to match some colour but that's very difficult.
Maybe there could be an extra tab besides HSL and RGB that would be
'Absolute Colour' where we would just enter RGB values (0-255) and/or
the colour hex value.

Last, for some reason I couldn't open a new topic from the support
site so I'm doing it directly from groups.google.com. Maybe it's some
glitch with Google itself because I use a different default language
than the automatic, maybe not..

Thank you, very much for the add-on!

Oh, well, as usual just after posting I figured it out.
We can simply put in the hue and the saturation, then adjust the
luminosity.
At least it works like this when starting from white.

Man Sergio,
There were a ton of COOKIES on that site and an AD!!  Why not just include a screenshot?

My upgrade request is a setting that will allow the user to set a GLOBAL Default background.
So if it's a normally white background on a webpage, it automatically gets set to (for me a light grey)
easier on my headaches at night, like a 186,186,186.
And the value box needs to be widen to read all digits.  Here's what I get on Firefox 3.6.26.

Think cosmic all,

Sorry for that.
I got used to that site because the xfce-screenshooter automatically sends it
there.
Since I use Adblock Plus and NoScript I never saw an ad nor got any extra
cookies.
But I guess 99% of the free hosting sites have these ads.

.....hahaha, just 'ruffing' you up a bit, no harm, no foul.

I Customize my cookies, since I like to accept some of
them, but not from 3rd parties!!

I have NOT heard of NoScript, think I'll check that one
out, Thanks amigo!

Yeah EVERYONE wants to get that AD money nowadays.

No biggie, take care,

Hi Sergio,

#1
"1-digit" Problem:
This seems to be caused by different Platforms/Firefox-Skins/Fonts
maybe even depending on different Display resolutions. I will make
these controls a bit wider for the next version and hope it will be
sufficient for your environment.

#2
Changing colors to a specified color-value:
The basic problem here is that all color changes are currently applied
to a set of colors even though you can define a set with a single
color.

So there would have to be a defined source-color of the set for which
you set a destination color. All other colors in that set (if there
are any) would have to be affected similarly.

Maybe i will include some kind of color-picking dialog which will
allow a color to be changed from a->b and simply result in some rgb or
hsl setting (overwriting the previous settings) of that set.

This has be something that already has been requested before already
and there will be something coming up, but probably not
"immediately". ;-)

Hi Tom,
i see the value box problem occurs often. I will try to fix that
(simply by widening the box).

Global Background color:
CTS does currently not offer global color changes. This would be a
completely different approach. I am currently considering an
alternative approach which might include global changes but that may
take a while.

At the Moment you might have a look at "NoSquint":
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/
Perhaps that is of help.

Or you use Stylish ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish
) to define an own "style":

Forcing all body backgrounds to gray (which is not exactly what you
asked) would be this definition:

@-moz-document url(about:blank), url-prefix("http://"), url-
prefix("https://") {
body {background: #E0E0E0 !important;}
}

Thank you very much for all the effort you put into CTS. It is my go-to add-on when I get a BLAST of white screen
at night on FoxFire.
I would think that since the 'background' color is only 1 variable and always in the same location,
it would only take a short sub-routine to detect a white background, and change to a light/medium grey background.
But, I'm not a programmer, and you are the inventor of this add-on.

Thanks again and have a great week,

IMHO, it lacks "power user" mode(at least one small window with raw css)

You can display the raw css when editing a style via the Settings Tab. (Use Copy and Paste from the Browser Window, "Save as" won't work)

Also the raw css is accessible via from the users profile folder, Subfolder "ColourThatSite". Although the css files there are hard to identify as they are only numbered.

i saw that.) But I used userContent to add my fixes. (Whos know how it works and what bugs will appear if I try to change it directly ^ _ ^)
And after all with small editable css window it will be much easier to make fixes immediately.

P.S. May be you find it interesting: http://colorschemedesigner.com/
