experience that it prompted to install gnome-control-manager.
12.10 is only a few days old and like all Ubuntu versions (I use it at work
since 8.04) it has bugs, some of them that don't get fixed until the next
version.
You can't blame the Colorhug for your OS of choice having a bug or being
 unintuitive!
Hugh does a great job by making the Colorhug cross-platform with the LiveCD.
