Subject: Cherry Creek Report

Well Guys I stopped by Cherry Creek today about 4pm ( I have a day off today! Yaaay!) and there is a TON of OPEN WATER all around the Rez now.  There is about 2" of light snow on the ice and there were some fishermen at the cove up from where we usually launch and they signaled the ice was about 4" MAYBE 5" now and they were not far from shore.

I do believe that if any sailing is to be done now someone should drill first or we should sail up and down the shoreline if possible.

I think the ice has been compromised with all the warm temps and now the large amount of open water.

Any news of Chatfield?
Georgetown might just be our best bet if Chatfield isn't any better.  Cheers - Suz
