FYI….a talk on using DIY grassroots science including balloon and low altitude mapping techniques.

We have a colloquium scheduled for Friday given by Shannon Dosemagen. Shannon is the Director of Outreach and Partnerships at the Public Laboratory for Open Technology and Science – link below

PLOTS is focused on “civic science”, researching open source hardware and software tools and methods to generate knowledge and share data about community environmental health.

 

The title of Shannon’s talk is:

 

“Public Laboratory for Open Technology and Science: Open-source development of tools for grassroots science”

 

It’s scheduled for the normal time and place - 3.30pm in CB 118.
