Yeah, Dave -- if youi can post your wiring diagram, maybe we can get started on it.  Not sure my schedule, even for tomorrow, but wiring is definitely next on the list.

Anybody going down tomorrow?  I'd like to, but not sure if I've got a kitchen pass yet.

I am available tomorrow for a while if any is interested in meeting.  I have been out of town the last two weekends but things have slowed down.  I'd be up for helping with wiring if we have a schematic.

I can't wait to work again. I have to study for finals this weekend, and then I am a free man! What are some of the upcoming tasks?

Mostly wiring at this point. And paint. I guess those could be done in either order.  I've got to finish the router mount, adding the clamp tensioner.  I think I'll get out to the garage tomorrow and do that.  Shouldn't take long.  E-chain can come after it's running, and we can cut our own.  If we could dig up 20' of plastic conduit, such as fiber optic shielding, that would be nice in the interim, but probably not too critical.

Then the computer end of things.  I've got an old XP machine that should be good, except I think the power supply is bad.  Funny Dell power supply, the size and shape of a cigarette carton.  If you wanted to work on that, either at the space or at home, that would be great, Dustin.  You know my preference is Mach3, but if you get EMC going, I'm not going to complain.

I installed Mach3 on my laptop, and started tinkering.  (Not connected to any hardware)  Then I started reading the docs, including the part about, "No way can you just figure this software out...you have to read the manual."  Ok...so no I'm working through the manual.  If anyone else wants to read it too, that would be good.  Maybe with James and Ron on the team, we're good to go, but I'm enjoying the read.  Some interesting insights into real-time programming on Windows and real hardware issues -- things I haven't dealt with as a programmer for 20 years!

I'll post here by 10 am, once I know if I can break free or not.

I meant on the computer/software end of things, in general.  Not particularly in fixing my old, crappy computer.  ;-)

But I'd get to the space after noon, since I want to finish the router mount at home first.

Is this a Dell laptop that needs a power supply? If so I've probably got a couple of them laying around... Assuming it's their standard...

We have a touch screen CNC computer that was donated and is currently at the space. I have the windows iso and can work on that the next time i'm there. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it this weekend, with graduations going on. Feel free to work on it if you have the software to install.
