I was wondering when CF Twitter Like App will be ready for download.. I downloaded laconica-0.7.4 which is in PHP, but I'd like to see it in CF instead. I am a huge CF fan..

I got sidetracked with another open source project I'll be releasing soon at which point I'll refocus on ColdTonica. It's semi-far along at this point and you can certainly grab the source code if you want to see the state it's in now, but it shouldn't be more than about another week or so before I jump back on this and knock out the remaining things necessary for an initial release.
This is a good news Matthew. I am glad this project is still in
progress. I will wait until you are done with the development.
As far as the back-end is concerned, which database will you be using?
Oracle, SQL, MS Access etc..

Initially it will be MySQL only, though I have plans to support H2 for low-traffic deployments since that would mean zero setup. Eventually this will be packaged as a WAR containing Open BlueDragon, or the CFML code can be dropped onto an existing CF/OpenBD/Railo server, and I may bundle it with Jetty as well for people who don't have a servlet container.
