Lads,

coldspringframework.org has been down since yesterday... What's up?

Gah... it's not in my control. I'll DM the guy that hosts it again.

Mark

If you want to move it Mark, I can host it for you no charge.   Just let me know what you need and I can set it up PDQ.

Shared hosting,  CF9Enterprise, SQLServer, HELM Control panel, unlimited emails, plenty of disc space and bandwidth,  very few disabled tags.    It doesn’t seem like coldspringframework.org is all that demanding as far as web sites go even though the framework itself is very sophisticated.

Cheers

Really??   This offer doesn’t even deserve the courtesy of a reply?     It’s a no-strings offer of FREE hosting, when your existing hosting seems to have fallen off the perch.

I would have thought at least an acknowledgement would have been in order.  It’s only good manners after all.

Knowing Mark as I do, I highly doubt he's trying to insult you, Mike. Maybe he was away for the weekend? Or any of a thousand other reasons? I'm sure he'll respond, no need to get huffy.

In any event, I would think if the site moves it will move to a server where Mark has full control of things.

I’m not getting huffy.   Just thought since the main site that’s the focus of this group was down, and has been down for more than a fortnight, I figured someone might be interested in an alternative.

And how do you know he wouldn’t have full control?   You’re making assumptions about my setup too.  I‘ve been hosting sites for 15 years now, and have never had a complaint about sites being down, or clients not having enough control over what they wanted to do.

But anyway, if anyone’s interested the offer stands.  I’ll shut the hell up now.

Thank you for your gracious offer Mike.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the current controller of the site, and investigating some other options. If those don't pan out, I will be in contact.

Cheers,

Mark

Looks like we are back up, at least for now.

Figures. Just when I get ready to finally take a serious look at
coldspring  =-p

Anyone have any favorite how to get up and running with coldspring for
beginners articles/whitepapers/blogs/notes on a napkin?

Sorry about this guys - it's a real hassle I know.

The trac wiki is still all good, and has much of the same information in it:
