I've been able to get factory post processors to work, but not bean
post processors. I checked the code and it looks like
BeanDefinition.isBeanPostProcessor() is never referenced anywhere. Am
I missing something, or are bean post processors not fully supported?

I don't believe there are supported in CS (Currently).
Do look for them in Narwhal (The next version of ColdSpring), which is about to ramp up development very soon.
