Hello,
So I was planning to remaster Ubuntu 12.04.
So here are some applications I was thinking of bundling in  -
  1. VIM
  2. XFCE Desktop
  3. GNOME Classic Desktop
  4. Eclipse
  5. Chromium
  6. Virtual Box
  7. CCSM
  8. Conky
  9. Cairo Dock
Please suggest some more applications that you would like to see on Ubuntu 12.04. Also tell me if any of the above applications are inappropriate.

I'm not sure the exact target users of this. So my suggestions may not be valid. But still..

10. VLC
11. MySQL (+ I also love the MySQL Admin GUI)
12. Gimp
13. Wine
14. LaTeX
15. Emacs (if you can find a lot of emacs lovers!)

You should also look for Docky instead of Cairo Dock. I feel that the former is more stable and looks equally good.

I thought of VLC and GIMP but I think they come bundled with 12.04. But if they are not there will install them.
As for MySQL, I think I am going to install Xampp, or make the complete LAMP configuration.
While yes how can I forget Emacs. Thanks for the suggestions :D
I will also try out docky and see its features and it performance.

Also don't forget "synaptic". Interestingly, it doesn't come with 12.04 and Ubuntu software centre isn't that appealing! :P
