3 cups water
1/3 cup dark brown sugar, packed lightly
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon, or to taste
1/2 cup black coffee, grounds (I use Folgers crystals)
3 cup fat free evaporated milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Bring water, sugar and cinnamon to a boil. Add coffee and turn down
heat; simmer for 5 minutes.
While coffee is simmering, heat evaporated milk in microwave on low
or over a very low flame; do not let it boil.
Strain coffee through a coffee filter. Add vanilla and heated milk; stir.
Yields one cup per serving.
