About AIASC

The program provides exclusive sky image data to each group, and the participants then uses the specialized software to sift through the data through the duration of the phase and spot moving objects which could be new Asteroids! The sky images are taken with the 24" and 32" telescopes at the Astronomical Research Institute (ARI) Observatory located at Charleston, USA. 

Currently, 11 countries on 4 continents are participating in the `International Asteroid Search Campaign'

Time line:    

The "All India Asteroid Search Campaign 2012" will be conducted in India in three separate phases:

Phase I - 28th April to 2 June 15 Slots
Phase II - 3rd June to 8th July 30 Slots
Phase III- 9th July to 13th August 30 Slots
