This behavior is actually a known issue, we have a bug tracker here:  
https://bugs.launchpad.net/codership-mysql/+bug/587170

But as said, cannot promise a fix for this yet. As a potential fix, We  
could refuse to add an autoinc column if increment or offset are not  
default values.
