The CodeMash organizers are pleased to announce that InfoQ will be
recording a subset of sessions this year (2 tracks per session). The
recordings will be released periodically over the next few months on
the InfoQ site. InfoQ has chosen sessions to record based on various
factors, and we are NOT soliciting opinions about which session should
be included, so please don't start a debate on that.

We're excited about this new offering and thrilled to be working with
InfoQ. Of course, please give the videographers the space that they
need and be aware that sessions are being recorded, but the attendee
experience should not be negatively impacted by recording. We will
definitely ask for your feedback to determine if this is something
that we should continue in future years.

Thanks!

Dianne,

Can you give us a list of the sessions that will be recorded? If I
want to see more than one session in a time slot I may choose the non-
recorded session that way I can eventually see both. It might also
happen that 1200 people attempt to all attend one of Scott Hanselman's
sessions. :)

Thanks,
Greg

Yeah, I think we can do that. I need to get speaker release forms before I can say for certain which sessions will be recorded. I'll try to figure out the best way to publish that.

But it won't be a secret. There will be a guy with a big camera camped out in the room! ;-)

Also be aware that it could be months before the sessions appear online.

Thanks so much. Could you post it on the news feed? Twitter is going
to be busy. I would imagine that once twitter is active for CodeMash
that it will scroll by like a long directory listing in MSDOS. :)

Thanks,
Greg

When/where will the videos be published?

The videos need to be edited, and presentations slides will be interleaved. Since I'm still collecting presentations and haven't actually SENT the slides to InfoQ yet, release is not imminent.

The videos will be released over a period of time, rather than all at once. This serves several purposes, including not overwhelming the channel.

The videos will be available on InfoQ's site, and we will definitely let you know once we have a release schedule.

Thanks for your interest!
Dianne
