Just a reminder: if you're coming to the Cocoa (Mac) or iPhone pre-
compilers, please make sure you've installed the SDK before the
tutorials begin. The downloads are several GB, and you won't be able
to download and install them in time if you wait until Tuesday.

For the Cocoa pre-compiler, you need the XCode Tools from the Snow
Leopard installer DVD.

For iPhone, you also need the iPhone SDK, available at http://developer.apple.com/
. For iPhone, you do not need to join the paid developer program -
the paid program gets you a signing certificate to install apps to a
phone, and the precompiler will just use the SDK's iPhone Simulator.

Feel free to follow up with questions.

Chris, I've been having a problem logging into the iPhone Dev center.  Apple keeps telling me they are working on the problem, but it's been a couple of weeks.  Is there a way to get the SDK outside of the normal  iPhone Dev center?

i did a re-download of the sdk last night from the website with no problems.

I'd be happy to put it on a USB drive and bring it down to share with those who need it.

Yes please Nayan, I would greatly appreciate it.  Let's connect at CodeMash.  I'll be coming in Tuesday night.

Is Snow Leopard required for the "A taste of cocoa" session or will
Leopard suffice?
