Again I would emphasize to people--don't lose the excellent points
that Ted Neward made because he used profanity. Don't lose the message
because you don't like paper it was written on.
If all you took away from Ted's keynote was that he cursed then you
really missed a lot. I heard from him that software development is
hard, why it's hard, and that there's no silver bullet (including the
cloud). It's amazing how many times we, software developers that is,
need to be reminded of this fundamental truth and how often we fall
for the "Next Big Thing" and think it will suddenly make building good
software simple.
