Has anyone used products from CSL [http://www.cslcare.com/phone-series/
phone-series.html]? Is it just a China-like copycat?

G2 [http://www.cslcare.com/index.php/products/mobile-phone/g-series/
item/57-g2]
It said "Google Android Operation Interface".

G2 Mini [http://www.cslcare.com/index.php/products/mobile-phone/g-
series/item/58-g2-mini]
iPhone look-alike

Blueberry-i 8350 [http://www.cslcare.com/index.php/products/mobile-
phone/blueberry-series/item/98-blueberry-i-8350]
Blueberry look-alike

All of them uses an OS called "MTK". I briefly googled it, and it
seems the MTK is from China.

If you want to know more about MTK, this is a good read
http://hubpages.com/hub/Chinese-Phones

Basically we should just avoid them like plague, my friend got one
from CSL and the complains are

1. it is a closed system that no extra apps can be installed

2. J2ME support is minimal or none (my friend's one)

3. (If I remember correctly) there is no way to export contact list and calendar

G2 is not running Android. Avoid these phones.

I came across CSL website because I was reading an article regarding
JooJoo [http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/03/joojoo-tablet-now-in-
production-will-support-full-flash-at-laun/].

I hate these cloners. They make look-alikes and use low quality
software+hardware.

Yeah, I read about the CSL group before, but never give much attention to it, save for the first time they intro a G2 and then when I realized it's a fake one, I never follow news related to it anymore.

OS: |MTK
Others: Google Android Operation Interface

in other words, how do u think we can get these manufacturers to adopt
Android as their OS?

Perhaps the first thing is to get them to use reference hardware. I know Qualcomm has reference designs for Android smartphones (Android will run without needing extra drivers when using these designs). However, just looking at this, I'm guessing the manufacturers would then need to be able to afford the reference hardware in the first place. This may be the reason small-ish phone manufacturers don't go for Android (or any big name OS) in the first place.
