Code4LibCon 2013 is in the hands of the Chicago team. Everything that we =
suggest requires effort on their part, and, to a substantial degree, =
they own the event and get to make these decisions. While this might =
change down the road, I don't think that it is something that we should =
change or consider changing for the next con.
In that light, I think that it is appropriate that if the Chicago team =
wants to open things to a vote, then they can take this to the list. If =
they want to get a box of stogies, go in a room and lock the door, that =
is their privilege.
At some point before the next Con, but closer to it, I think that we =
should open the general subject of where we want this to go. Meanwhile, =
anyone who wants to discuss it can come here, where the bar never =
closes.
