Subject: proposal vote?
Hi all,

It looks like the conference proposals vote ended successfully.  My
count of proposal slots on the draft schedule is 22.  Looking at the
results of the vote...

http://vote.code4lib.org/election/results/21

It looks like we have a tie for slot #22:

"Relevance Ranking in the Scholarly Domain"
"The Golden Road (To Unlimited Devotion): Building a Socially
Constructed Archive of Grateful Dead Artifacts"

I think in years past we've let both of the tied proposals in, and
adjusted the schedule, but I'm wondering what the plans are for this
year.  Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Kevin

We have had a run-off in the past, but however people want to work it.

I really like them both so I vote for adjusting the schedule!

Well, I like some of the things that didn't make the cut at all, so I
vote for changing the schedule to have even more workshop slots to let
them in too!

Just kidding, no I don't. And there's no vote, or rather we just had the
vote, already!

I think it's really up to the conf committee (is there a program
committee?), whatever works out best. You could have a run-off vote; you
could, if you can figure out how, change the schedule to accomodate
both; you could also change the schedule to _cut_ both. I think all of
those are reasonable and defensible.

Hey Kevin,

We are going with 23. Just finished editing the notification letters.
Got to do the name/email/letter match.
