hi guys, i will format my iMac and install Leopard so all applications
as well. Is there a way to backup all sites settings to use them again
after i install Coda?
This has been asked like 1000 times :( When are the Panic guys understand, that some kind of sync is needed :( In the meantime, save this file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.panic.Coda.plist
~/ stands for your "home" (in "/Users/yourname").
Once Coda is reinstalled, overwrite this file with your backup copy.
And yes, it sucks :(

Common request. Coda should hook into .mac for syncing the site
settings. But this isn't good enough, in my opinion. plists can get
corrupted easily, so I think site settings and clippings should exist
as wholly separate files than the main plist.

I have nothing but faith in Panic dev team. This request is so obvious that I'm 101% sure that it will be included in the next major update. They have an export thing in Transmit, so it's not like they don't know it's important. They probably just haven't gotten to that point of their todo list yet. Version 1.0 was amazing, version 1.1 was Leopardish, version 1.2(or 2.0?) will be make 1.0 look like 0.5. (whatever that means)
On the subject of backing up...saving the Coda plist saves the settings, but not the passwords. Those are kept in the Keychain (as they should be). How can I backup my full Keychain? There is an Export option in one of the menus, but it's always greyed out. Any ideas?
Thanks brian

Of course you can:
Best idea: Time-Machine. Just review the folders: ~/Library/
Keychains, /Library/Keychains and you are set.
Otherwise you backup this folders as your liking. That's it.
Why Apple is graying out the Export of Keychains is one of the well
kept secrets of the Mac-Makers :-)
Greetings,
Jochen
