Questions posed by Anton:

Does anybody know how much is average moisture of coconut meat?
Does anybody know how much is average weight of copra with 0% water content?

If I want to make copra with moisture below than 5% and fat content is higher than 70% how to do that? and how many Kilogram of mature coconut is needed to produce 1 KG of copra with that specification?

Answers proposed by myself:

Coconut kernel usually contains 50% moisture at maturity, perhaps less in the dry season.

The average copra per nut varies with population, In Solomon Islands we had three populations being

Solomon Tall with 200g/nut;

Malayan Tall backcross to Solomon Tall with 250 g/nut

and Renell Tall with 330 g/nut

In many areas of Polynesia and Indonesia the figure would be around the 250 g valua

The yield of copra will depend on what the average nut size is for your area Anton. The usual moisture for copra suitable to be stored or shipped was 6% in Solomon Islands. Approximately 2kg fresh kernel will produce 1 kg copra.

The highest value for oil content of copra at 0% moisture is usually less than 70%.
