[Melbourne] Metro design usergroup - Wed 16th May

I had a number of people at tonight's Cocoaheads Melbourne meeting ask if I could forward the details of this usergroup.

Next week there is a presentation on "Metro design" which is the new UI look in Windows 8 / Windows Phone 7. So for any UI/UX guys out there, it may be interesting.

Also, Win8 apps can now be written in HTML5+JS, which might make porting some apps easier.

Metro Design 101: Clean, Clear, To the point

Alex Knight will pull apart what it is to design Metro apps and what sets them apart from other user interfaces out there. 

From Windows Phone 7 to Windows 8 and maybe even a little xbox. Touch, NUI, Keyboards and rodents, by the end of the session you will be designing Metro apps with the best of them.
