Ya' know "racism" is just an emotionally charged term for of
ethnocentrism-- a well established scientific characteristic reflecting
the preference of any group for their own kind-- people, animals, even
insects. People see their kind as best ("We're Number 1") and like to
hang out with them over others. There's loads of research that
demonstrates it.

One of my favorites had to do with seagulls. A breed of them that has a
mark-- sort of an eyebrow-- above the eye shunned another breed that has
an unmarked face/head.

Interestingly, when the experimenters drew an eyebrow on a plain-faced
one, they were readily accepted into the eyebrow group...

i don't see how that follows... racism is when someone uses their advantage
as a member of a preferred race to subjugate or harm someone else of a race
deemed lesser. anything else is bigotry - not that one is any better than
the other.

growing up?

wow, now if only we could prove that all humans are as fucking dumb and
driven by instinct as much as seagulls, you could apply that to anything
but seagulls.
