Noise free America (a great organization) sent the following email.

-----------
Would you be interesting in doing a press release on your noise
situation?  Each month, we do a "Noisy Dozen" award on a particularly
noisy community.  We have had considerable success in generating
publicity from these press releases, which puts pressure on local
elected officials and the police to act.

The program is outlined here:
http://www.noisefree.org/nominate.php
-----------

One thing NFA wants is for me to "recruit a second person within the
community to comment on the noise situation."

Any body else want to help change the situation?

It's not JUST Montbello. We're on the west side and these idiots drive by
all the time with those subwoofers going, day and night.

And the stereo install places like Car Toys actually HELP them, by telling
them about "cop kill" switches that shut them off if they see a cop ahead.
( it's illegal and they can be ticketed but the cop has to hear them as
they drive by )

Being they interfere with our ancient right to "quiet enjoyment" of our
property ( coming into our homes with the noise ) I see it as initiation of
force against people, which of course most people dont mind as long as it's
not against them.
