我还是在win下用emacs的时间多些,
如果能有标签(tabs)来包裹buffer就好了,
现在用着tabbar或者elscreen, 但是总归不是那么好,
貌似出了个分支带gtk的tabs : http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.emacs.devel/123014
还没试过,

另外窗口要是能够全屏且不遮挡任务栏,显示menu-bar和右上角的最小化/关闭按钮也更不错,
好像vs200x,adobe cs5之类的可以吧.

纯愿望贴, 不是反感现在的emacs, 勿喷,

曾经我也有阵子把xp的特效风格什么的关掉的, 但是后来还是打开了一些.

你的要求甚合我意；

其实，emacs的modeline也应该重新设计一下了，
一开 minor mode，数量就在五、六个左右，
根本无法将所有信息完整的显示在modeline上。
我的建议是将modeline设计成文字、图表可生活样式，
类似于gnome 2的底部状态栏那样。

不知道emacs的开发者愿意接受这些Feature的要求吗？

tabbar与modeline越出界面的问题应该很普遍吧？

目前我的elisp能力还不够，也没这样的信心啊。
要是我有能力的话，
倒是很想写一个根据mode插入file local variable的函数。

还是先来个简单的，
群众投票应该再哪里发起啊，mailing list?

这一点不是一直都有的么？我的全屏就是这样的，参见30231帖附件。

我只能说tabbar这样的东西，这么多年不能进emacs应该是有原因的
不知道现在tabbar发展的如何了，我原来用了几个月就没用了
这么多年没有tabbar其实也挺好的

至于发出倡议，草根的方式是没有固定套路的
你可以看看这个BBS上有几个人响应，或者到maillist里面去喊一嗓子
看看反馈

至于elisp，把置底的pdf看完，动手看看呗

鼠标党表示用鼠标点菜单上buffer菜单 ：）
没事，Emacs最大的好处就是不爽就自己改吧，改到爽为止

好吧。

其实，按我的理解，
emacs的tabbar有点模仿Winedt的标签功能。
而我当初就是从Winedt过来的，
所以，还是喜欢用鼠标点标签。

应该没有拼写错误，
它在CTeX中充当TeX编辑器。

那只能说你一次性打开的buffer数量太小！
当你同时打开50个C++源码文件时，
那这一组所有的tabbar标签还能完整的显示在同一窗口之中吗？

通常，Emacs开启desktop.el、session.el之后，
emacs打开的buffer数量经常会在几百左右。
