Jesse,

Business as usual then? Are we going to learn about what the "committee" has in store for us at the "keynote" tomorrow morning with everyone else?

On one hand you've got @ruv tweeting stuff like "No more google groups. Let's actually do something." and at the same time he's creating an invite-only Google Group (http://groups.google.com/group/cloudalliance/) for the Cloud Computing Alliance (CCA), which will invariably take another 6 months to get off the ground:

The Cloud Computing Alliance (CCA) is an industry trade organization focused on advocating the adoption and use of Cloud Computing and related of technologies. The CCA focuses on building industry consensus in a formal setting.

It's utterly satirical,

It was an earlier concept. We've moved on. Not going to happen.

Of course it's not going to happen - stop for one second and imagine the response to alliancegate the very next day after manifestogate, complete with all the usual suspects (and April Fools day no less).

@adhi: I've been working around the clock for days on end trying to keep this forum from splintering. We've all waited 6 months already for Reuven et al to deliver something, anything (and perhaps they will on Thursday) but bear with me for another day or two because I'm working hard to find a solution. Reuven just that second told me he didn't trust me and that "if you don't like what I'm doing go start your own thing. If you want to be involved have some faith. gotta go", but I think he's just a bit anxious and will be more reasonable when he calms down. In any case if you must go somewhere then got to the Cloud Computing Community and we'll see about rolling it back in later.
