Just over a year ago, in December 2010 I started a new discussion
thread Network Virtualization. OverDrive from LineSider . It was
inspired from the Cisco acquisition of Linesider.

We had intelligent and informed entries from contributors like Ray
Nugent, Geoff Brown, David Graham, Chris Marino, Geoff Arnold, Vic
Winkler.

I did try to find out how Cisco used Linesider in their portfolio, but
I was not successful I just discovered the LineSider was integrated in
NMTG (Network Management Technology Group) and that is a service
offered 3rd parties. It would be great if anyone from Cisco can
describe a Cisco LineSider offering.

By now, Network Virtualization (NV), although still lacks a widely
accepted definition, has made some serious progress, which I describe
here:

I invite discussions and contributions

Cheers,

Miha

I am at CiscoIT and have analyzed the solution for our consumption. Was their a specific question or were you looking for general information? Linesider has been branded  Network Services Manager  and a specific url is:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11636/index.html

Hope this helps.
