I am looking for an easy to read and understand book for senior executives about Cloud Computing. I came across one called "Cloud Computing, a Practical Approach" by  Toby Velte (Author), Anthony Velte (Author), Robert Elsenpeter (Author) in Amazon.

DOes anyone have an opinion or recommendation?

The audience is for senior executives who have heard about cloud computing, but do not necessarily know what it is.

Thanks & Regards
Raja Srinivasan

This is an easy read and it's free...  Not exactly a book, but then, an high-level executive overview of CC may not require a whole book....

Thank you Rao and Jan for the speedy response. I appreciate Rao's offer and will present it as an option.

Two more recommendations:

* "Cloud Application Architectures: Building Applications and
Infrastructure in the Cloud" by George Reese (O'Reilly).
Amazon Link: http://www.amazon.com/Cloud-Application-Architectures-Applications-Infrastructure/dp/0596156367
* Cloud Security and Privacy: An Enterprise Perspective on Risks and
Compliance by Tim Mather, Subra Kumaraswamy, Shahed Latif.
Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Cloud-Security-Privacy-Enterprise-Perspective/dp/0596802765

One indispensable whitepaper (practical architectures):

* "Above the Clouds: A Berkeley View of Cloud Computing" Most widely
cited and accepted whitepaper from the RAD lab folks at UCB.
URL: www.eecs.berkeley.edu/Pubs/TechRpts/2009/EECS-2009-28.pd

* "Global software development with cloud platforms" by yours truly
(Pavan Yara et al) contains the architectural framework and components
which we used. http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-02987-5_10

Disclosure: This last one is my own paper.

I second the recommendation on the George Reese book -- it covers
EVERYTHING you need to know at a good depth, and I'd consider it a
must-read for any Cloud architect.
By everything I mean not just technical details, but also "how to sell
cloud to management", costing comparisons, security.
