There's been a bunch of discussion on the list about how it's almost
impossible to get a patch in to closure library, and that the
community should fork closure.
I don't speak for closure-team, but i wanted to post some links that
people might find helpful:

I don't think forking is a bad idea. I think a lot of OSS communities
that would be a lot better off if people were more willing to fork,
and knew how to maintain forks in a positive way.

I think most of what he says there applies to Closure Library. This
isn't a defense of how hard it is to submit patches, but it might help
