Hi everyone,

I don't have anyone lined up to speak next month, so we could do
shorter 5-10 min lightening talks, or another hack-fest like last
time. What would people prefer? Any other suggestions?

Cheers,
Brian

A combination of lightening talks and hacking sounds fun to me. --Ben

We should go over the code for nongrata now that it's done. And have
Dan give it a thumbs up / down!

I'm also happy to give a longer talk about the internals of Persona, if
that'd be interesting to anyone.

(I'd like to get at least one or two explicit affirmations that it's of
interest so I don't end up being a broken record)

+1 for more Persona internals talk.

News about Persona: Mozilla is releasing a new version of the API and
it's different than the one we implemented (I think it's a little
better, from what I've seen, frankly)

Nongrata is also a great way to get your head wrapped around
clojurescript. I personally think what Chris Granger has done with
Fetch and Crate is simpler and better than the Clojurescript One
approach. When I started delving into Clojurescript One, I thought
there was a ton of stuff to understand that was mostly just the
mechanics of getting the environment up before you even really got to
the Clojurescript stuff.

I thought the list might be interested in checking out a talk hosted by
TCRUG on Reproducible Research with R on May 30 at Refactr:

http://www.meetup.com/twincitiesrug/events/64226412/

The talk will be given by JJ Allaire (creator of Coldfusion and RStudio)
and Yihui Xie (creator of knitr).

Maybe I'll see some of you there!

It looks like everyone's interested in doing 5-10 minute lightning
talks, so we'll plan on that for next month. After that, perhaps we
can discuss the status of Nongrata and see if we want to do anything
else with it.

So far on the list of lightning talks I have
Dan Callahan - the internals of Persona
Brian Maddy - (I'll come up with something)

Who else is interested?

Cheers,
Brian

Right, I just re-read Dan's email. He's interested in doing a normal
length talk. We'll start off with that and then move on to the
lightning talks.

Keep in mind discussion of nongrata is a great way to start on
clojurescript in the context of using noir.
