Should anyone who signed a CA be able to follow Clojure patches directions?

I just recently was reminded about the directions here after I forgot about them and submitted some improperly formatted patches:

http://clojure.org/patches

As I was following them for attaching an updated patch for CLJ-870, everything went fine until I got up to this step:

"Now you can attach that patch file to the JIRA ticket and please add the 'patch' tag. Please mark the ticket 'ready to test' by checking that option under Choose an action..."

I can attach a patch, but I don't see anything on the web page for adding a 'patch' tag, or any other kind of tag. I also don't see anything that says "Choose an action...". I see buttons near the upper left saying "Comment", "Planning Board", "Task board", "More Actions" with a popup menu containing the choices "Attach Files", "Attach Screenshot", "Remove Vote" (because I voted for this issue), "Stop Watching" (because I'm watching it), and "Clone".

Should I see other choices related to the instructions, or is that only for others with higher privileges? I am logged in with the account name "John Andrew Fingerhut" when seeing all of the above.

Thanks,
Andy

Nobody understands JIRA. Those instructions are probably out of date. I think you need to click the "Edit" button on the ticket, which opens up a screen where you can change the "Status" field of the patch.

Even when logged in with account name "jafingerhut", and looking at the web page for ticket CLJ-870 here:

http://dev.clojure.org/jira/browse/CLJ-870

I see no button or link anywhere that says Edit. Is it perhaps just some problem with my account permissions that I do not see this? Or are there others with JIRA accounts that also do not see such a button?

Thanks,
Andy

Yes, same thing for me.

For reference, attached is a screenshot of what I see, complete with
an Edit button and "More Actions".

Thanks. I definitely see fewer choices, as you can also see in the attached screenshot.

Perhaps my JIRA account has fewer privileges than Cosmin's? I don't expect high privileges -- I just want to be able to follow the proper instructions so that my attachments to JIRA tickets get noticed, rather than ignored because they do not have the proper tagging or state changes.

Thanks,
Andy

Ugh. Now if only I could remember to put attachments on when I say I will. Attached this time.

I think, I know what's the issue. Checking your account details, you
are in these groups:

Colin:
confluence-users
jira-users

Andy:
clojure-dev
confluence-users
jira-users

I, as a pretty new contributor who has Edit and what not, am in these
groups:

clojure-dev
confluence-users
jira-developers
jira-users

So it seems you have to be in the jira-developers group. Don't ask me
why I'm in there and you are not. I didn't do anything special, just
send Rich my CA and then create a JIRA account...

Bye,
Tassilo

Colin & Andy,
I have added you both to the appropriate groups for JIRA. You should now be able to edit tickets to your hearts' content! Let me know if you continue to have issues.
