Ben's work making shuffle not suck [1] reminds me of another thing
that sucks about test.generative: it has a decent data generation
library hiding inside a test library. I already did the dependency
work to make everything separate, and I submit to you the following
proposal:

1. Create a new contrib named data.generators.

2. Move the single namespace clojure.test.generative.generators into
that contrib, renaming it to clojure.data.generators.

This would allow test libraries (and other consumers of data
generation) to use data.generators without a goofy dependency on
test.generative.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

+1 Would love to be able to use that standalone!

Definitely excited to see this.  If it needs a caretaker, I'm more than happy to volunteer.

I just updated http://dev.clojure.org/display/design/Where+Did+Clojure.Contrib+Go
to include this and noticed there's no JIRA project for it, so I
pointed that page at TGEN for now. Should there be a DGEN project?
