On the unfortunate "Alpha 4-rehashes-numeric-changes" thread on the user mailing list, we have spent at lot of energy rehashing old news because the information was hard for people to find. Here are some ideas to spend that energy more constructively next time.

(1) Please help out with the documentation at dev.clojure.org. This is open to all CA signers, so Rich and the core team don't have to bottleneck anything here.

(2) I have bootstrapped a FAQ (http://dev.clojure.org/display/doc/FAQ). It is pitifully minimal now. Please add to it, and use it to help when answering questions on the mailing list.

(3) If somebody wants to take a stab at updating the numerics documentation, that would be awesome. You will want to pull from http://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/clojure/Enhanced_Primitive_Support (plus other sources), cull down to what was actually chosen, and create a page under http://dev.clojure.org/display/doc.

Cheers,
Stu

To what extent should we feel free migrating stuff from the assembla wiki spaces?

How can we edit that page? I have an account and I'm logged in and I don't see an edit button anywhere.

I see that I can add/edit design pages but not documentation pages.

David, I just gave the clojure-dev group permission to edit the docs space, and added you to that group.

The Clojure/core team can add any CA signer to clojure-dev, just ping us.

Continuing my random walk to Confluence semi-competence...

Yes! -- so long as the old assembla pages either (1) have text pointing to the new location or (2) redirect to the new location.

Stu

Some people seem confused by the fact that http://clojure.org still points to Assembla. Can we update to point to Confluence, or at least point out that's where documentation should be migrated to ?

I made a quick fix to http://clojure.org/patches. Let me know if there are other places, didn't find any via the search feature but it may not be link-aware.

Hi,

I'd like to provide the FAQ with an entry on how to override methods based on signatures with gen-class.

Can you pliz let me in the FAQ page editors group ?
