Did I miss something?? Why does clipperz beta appear compromised? Did the plan for Clipperz and entire webpage change (only on the beta version) I am not going to be logging in except from my local copy until I hear otherwise. The security certificate seems to match up so I don't think it is a rogue DNS hack and I am probably being overly paranoid but better safe than sorry. Something definetely does not smell right. We only accept Bitcoin was a big clue!

Hello Justin,

I have just updated the /beta application with some minor changes to fit the new website.

What exactly prompted you to consider the application "compromised"?

The website is totally new, and the reference to Bitcoin payment is also legit; this is how we are planning to support the project.

Sorry Marco.....little embarrassing!! I was just worried because I always felt like I kept up with the newsgroup and goings-on with Clipperz; apparently not close enough!

I happened to click on the beta version and when I saw that the page was different (though I actually really liked the look), and it was talking about payment I thought, oh no.......matching security key or not, there is no way I am logging in....since I pretty much keep my life in there. I don't know enough about internet security and networking yet to have confidence in myself!

I know I would, and others have said they wouldn't mind paying a few dollars to help support the project. Especially to help you with the development of a mobile friendly version which I know you are working on. Even though apps are great I think you were on the right track when I read (at least I believe I did) in one of the posts that you were trying to make the site mobile friendly versus app specific so it could more easily be cross platform.

Love the idea of Bitcoins by the way; I mean I love Bitcoins anyway, but I think it's a great idea for this type of site and the anonymity that needs to go along with it. Of course I just made a Pay-Pal donation not long ago so I guess I have been outed! Lol

I think you guys are doing a really great job with the site, I mention it every chance I get.

I love the design on the beta login page. I also want to let you know that I (as I am sure others) really appreciate the fact that you extended the free use of Clippers to those of us who have been using it for so many years. I love the project and I will continue to make donations to help support its development.
