We are completing the new "gamma" version that will have new features
and a completely redesigned interface. You can already start using it,
just go to
https://www.clipperz.com/gamma
and login with your usual Clipperz credential
You will enjoy a lightning fast search/filter and a better way to
create and manage direct logins.
It's still not complete, but quite usable.
Few days ago we released a much faster and polished version. I'm sure
you will enjoy it.
As soon as the "gamma" is ready to be open to the public we will bring
the same look and functionality to the Community Edition. Given our
very limited resources we are unable to announce a precise roadmap,
but we are confident to complete the "gamma" quite soon, since most of
the hard work has been done.
I hope to have time to write again on the blog, in the meanwhile I
will post quick bits on Twitter (http://twitter.com/clipperz), come
and follow us!
Thanks for your patience and help us in spreading the word!
We won't give up, preserving our privacy and security using
zero-knowledge web apps is too exciting.
Regards,
Marco
PS
And donations are always welcome! :-)

I've some suggestions for you:
- it miss a simple and easy way of copying the username/password of a
given card. This is could be kinda hard as labels can be set as we
want... but you could add a check near the label to permit a fast copy
in the index page (useful when you don't use clipperz compact and you
manually insert the passwords in the forms)
- I don't see anything in the settings, but I think it's because it's
still an alpha/beta version of the gamma one
- with the current clipperz I noticed that passwords are 19
characters, but sometimes websites limit passwords to 12-15 chars, so
it would be nice to have in the generator (when adding a card) a way
to set how many chars the password should be
- I don't see anymore the password generator when adding a card
- saving cards sometime freeze the page
- saving a card, when it freeze, press cancel, when you try to open
that card again it say "undefined", and the card is lost. after a
refresh it seem to work again
- it's kinda slow of open cards (sometime) and saving them (almost
always)
- it would be nice if the workspace locks itself automatically when
not used after a while (you could forgot the tab open, and you don't
want that someone go into your password account, don't you?)
- and please..... add a tag or category like system to cards. The
search it's very useful, but sometimes you want to see just home or
work passwords and not all, maybe you have two different account for
them on the same site. I think that adding the search to fields other
than the name should solve this problem, as we'd add a field Tag, and
then the tags as value. This would probably be the fastest way of
doing it, obviously a given "tag" field (as the note one) with the tag
management and a tag cloud would be even better
Btw great work guys, thank you for your effort

animations are really useful to let a new user understand what is going on.
We may try to allow a customizations on their duration, but we are not
going to remove them altogether.
Compared to crypto computations, animations are really light on the computer.
You may also try the /gamma version where a new "self-tuning" version
of the crypto algorithm allow greatly improved performances on WebKit
based browsers (Safari/Chrome).

This feature is possible only using Flash; security policy on all
modern browsers do not allow Javascript access to the clipboard
(neither for setting its value, nor for reading it).
At the moment it is not possible to completely embed Flash "movies"
into an HTML page; the content of the movie needs to be downloaded
with a real (http://...) url (we can not provide the content with a
data:// url).
This will break our "zero-knowledge web architecture", and we are not
going to compromise on our security model.
We have tried this combination in the new bookmarklet (available on
the /gamma version of the application), but personally I am not 100%
sold on the solution yet.
Hope this helps.

Giulio Cesare
the /gamma interface has been designed to include also tagging.
We will start working on tagging/sharing once we have re-implemented
all the features now available in the /beta.
I still don't know in which order we will tackle the new features as,
for regular use, the need for tagging has been greatly reduced by the
availability of search.

Giulio Cesare
Hi Marco, are you able to say approx how much that quite soon is? Like
February, March, April, or Q1, Q2, and so on.. Just to have an idea :)
Thank you

I am right that you announce the new release on 31st of March? That
would be really amazing. I tried to test the gamma version. There's no
way to login. I work on MacBookPro with OS X 10.6.2 and the newest
version of Firefox, Safari and Opera.
Stay in contact.
Greetings, Ingo

Sorry for the inconvenience!
Marco
OTPs are still not supported in /gamma.
If you have tried logging in the /gamma version with valid credentials
(credentials that let you successfully log in the /beta version) and
failed, please get in touch with me (possibly at my clipperz email
account - same username), because this should not happen and I would
like to investigate the issue further.
Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for the support.

could you please try to log into the /gamma version using Firefox +
Firebug, and report back the content of the Javascript console?
That would be really helpful in understanding what is going on.
A screenshot of the page would also help.
Regards,
Giulio Cesare
Here is a link to the screenshot (would have uploaded it here but
apparently no file upload with this group).

is it possible that your passphrase is exactly 32 character long
(without counting spaces, tabs and dashes)?
